The Fertility
Care Journey
Your situation is unique, and so will your fertility journey. What we can guarantee is that whatever journey is most suited to your circumstances, our team will ensure you feel the compassion and understanding that are at the core of our mission.
Your First Fertility Consultation
Your first visit to our clinic is an opportunity for you and your physician to discuss your medical history and assess your unique situation, which includes going over previous treatments you may have undergone, results of your initial tests, as well as answering any questions you may have at the onset of your journey.
Before determining the treatment plan that fits your situation, the first step is to better understand your fertility health.
As part of your initial fertility consultation, you may be asked to perform some diagnostic assessments, including:
physical exam
A transvaginal ultrasound which can help us evaluate your ovarian reserve
Baseline hormonal evaluation and blood work
Vaginal culture and PAP test
Semen analysis
Sonohysterogram
Laparoscopy
Treatments and Solutions
As a general rule, we prefer beginning your journey with the simpler procedures, before moving on to more complicated procedures if need be. Through each treatment, you will be guided by our team to support your emotional well-being, medical needs and financial options.
Depending on your situation, your physician may recommend some of the following procedures:
Natural cycle monitoring
Awareness/support while using gender affirming hormones (for conception and sperm production)
Medication to improve fertility during intercourse
Intrauterine insemination (IUI), whether medically assisted or not
Ovulation induction
In vitro fertilization (IVF), whether with or without Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI)
Surgery
Donor & Surrogacy Solutions
There are many paths outside of natural conception that can lead to you achieving your family dreams. These include:
Donations
Depending on your situation, you may turn towards egg donation (which allows you to carry and give birth if you are unable to conceive using your owns eggs), embryo donation (to carry and give birth if you are unable to conceive with your own sperm and eggs), or donor sperm (which can help single females, same-sex female couples, and couples suffering from male fertility challenges).
Gestational Carrier (Surrogacy)
A path for those unable to carry a baby to term or have a uterine problem which may cause early delivery or reduce the chance of success
Adoption
Can be a solution for those that choose not to, or are not able to, have a biologically related child.
Innovative Enhancements
Conceptia offers innovative enhancements that can maximize your chances of a healthy pregnancy and delivery, when combined with treatments such as an IVF. Depending on your situation and specific needs, our team may recommend Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT-M) or Endometrial receptivity analysis (ERA). We encourage you to check whether these innovations are included in the cost of treatment, as some may incur additional costs.
Fertility Wellness
Your fertility health is impacted by your lifestyle and wellbeing, both physical and emotional. Conceptia works with affiliated professionals that can help you increase your fertility success with a wealth of additional services.
