We look forward to helping all families in their fertility journey, irrespective of their gender or sexual orientation. We strive to offer a comfortable, inclusive and safe experience:
  • through the training that our teams undergo to best understand gender and sexual identity topics,

  • by offering support to all patients, including when they are using gender affirming hormones to facilitate conception and sperm production,

  • by providing third-party (donor and gestational carrier) solutions and reciprocal reproduction solutions,

  • by ensuring that our conscientiousness of gender and sexual diversity and inclusion is reflected in the make-up of our team.

We understand that some fertility challenges experienced by individuals and couples within the LGBTQ2SIA+ community are unique, and we at Conceptia provide personalized treatment plans and support options to take your specific needs into account.

Transgender people who wish to pursue medical transitioning to affirm their gender can consider Conceptia’s fertility preservation options before they begin their transition.

Our team is also at your disposal to discuss sperm freezing for transgender people who are Male Assigned At Birth (MAAB), to preserve your chances of family building prior to hormonal or surgical procedures to affirm your gender that may inhibit reproductive ability.

Inclusion of all gender and sexually diverse people is an important value of Conceptia. We are continuously striving to create an environment of compassionate belonging where all of the 2SLGBTQ2SIA+ community are supported, valued, and respected.

Conceptia is situated within the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and Mi’kmaq Peoples. This territory is covered by the “Treaties of Peace and Friendship” which Wolastoqiyik (Maliseet) and Mi’kmaq Peoples first signed with the British Crown in 1725.

We are a proud partner in The Fertility Partners network, Canada’s largest coast-to-coast network of fertility practices. Together, we collaborate on growing access to care, research, and innovation to advance the reproductive medicine field, and delivering leading patient outcomes.
